How the Acid Treatment Process Provides Exceptional Auto Paint Stripping

At Russell Auto Restorations, you will get effective and complete paint removal to begin restoration processes, because of our use of acid treatments to strip the paint. The use of paint stripping acids instead of manual paint stripping provides a cleaner surface to begin the restoration process. This is a more time efficient process, and since we have years of interaction with this process, we understand how to do it safely.

We offer many options for paint stripping since each restoration job usually requires a specific process. We can meet all of the needs of any restoration project. Soda blasting is quite simply baking soda manufactured in a more coarse granule. With the addition of water and highly compressed air, it is a great solution for stripping off paint layer by layer. It won’t harm the glass, stainless trim, or chrome  surfaces. The disadvantage is that it is a slow and expensive process that WILL NOT remove rust. Since most Real Restorations require the removal of glass, trim, and chrome, soda blasting is no longer is a great option.
Sand blasting is great for removing rust however the sand can be overly aggressive and many times stays in the crevices for years and can end up falling out at the most undesirable times.
Media blasting (walnut shells, etc) works well in certain cases. The bottom line is we offer ALL of these types of paint stripping including Mechanical stripping. We use the process that best suits the area of paint removal that will offer the best speed without  reducing the thickness of the substate and allowing full removal of the paint, media, as well as allowing for speedy and thorough clean up.
